Cocoa Beach and Titusville Florida are considered two of the best spots in
the world for sight fishing red fish. This area has been the subject of
numerous fishing shows due to the abundance of red fish, sea trout, snook,
and tarpon that make their home in our rivers. In the Cocoa Beach area we have over 400
miles of the most exciting shallow water fishing you could ever dream of.
So, stop dreaming about fishing the flats and watching us do it on TV. Book your own Cocoa Beach fishing trip today and let's go catch some memories.
I am
a Full Time Cocoa Beach fishing guide that specializes in Fly and Light Tackle Sight Fishing in the Cocoa
Beach waters. I ways born in Cocoa Beach Florida and currently fish these waters
over 300 days a year and have over 35 years experience fishing Cocoa Beach.
If you have never
sight fished
the flats before, don't worry. I cater to all experience levels, from
beginner to expert. My job is to help you catch fish. I will do everything I
can to help you do just that without the stress and screaming you my
have encountered with other guides.
To see what we are catching now go to my
fishing report.
So what make me different from all the other inshore guides that advertise in Cocoa Beach.
-
I am a Cocoa Beach native and a Full Time Cocoa Beach Fishing Guide.
-
I am one of only 3 guides that fish the Cocoa Beach area regularly.
-
I am the only full time guide in Cocoa Beach that specializes in
Fly and Light Tackle sight fishing redfish.
-
Over 75% of my clients have fished with me before.
-
I fish the Cocoa Beach waters over 300 days a year and have over 35 years experience sight fishing redfish
with artificial in Cocoa Beach.
-
I do not fish with my clients. It is my job to help you catch fish.
-
I provide everything except lunch on all my charters. I have your Fishing license, spinning and fly rods and reels, lures and flies, Cokes, water, Gatorade, ice, sunscreen and polarized sunglasses. I carry everything you need to have a great day on the water.
When
you fish with me expect to be provided with everything I expect when I hire
a guide.
You
can always count on
-
A
fresh spool of line (I change line between every client).
-
2003 Shimano spinning reels, Ross fly reels and G-Loomis rods.
-
Quality
lures and tackle.
-
A spacious smooth riding
boat.
-
And most
of all, a full time guide that wants to see YOU catch fish.
Most of the
redfish we have
caught in Cocoa Beach over the past 10 years have averaged 35 inches with a few up to 55
inches. When the conditions are right, you can spot these monsters feeding
on the flats 200 yards away. With the fish in your site, you sneak up on
them, cast you line, and hold on. These fish are a absolute blast to catch
on light tackle. After fighting a big red, you can count on going home with
a sore arm.
Another fun fish to catch in the Indian and Banana Rivers is the spotted sea
trout. It is common to catch them between 12 to 27 inches with an occasional
gator (30+ inches). There are few things more exciting than hooking into a
big trout on a top water lure.
Cocoa Beach Fishing Report
| April 15th 2009 fishing report by Capt
Doug Blanton |

The
cooler
winter
has
been
great
for
the
water
clarity
here
in
Cocoa
Beach.
Our
flats
are
almost
gin
clear
in
a
lot
of
places.
The
backside
of
the
cooler
weather
has
been
things
are
now
running
about
a
month
behind.
The
bait
has
finally
shown
up
in
some
pretty
good
numbers.
The
Gator
trout
are
starting
to
push
up
on
the
flats
to
spawn.
The
only
thing
that
is
still
running
a
little
slow
are
the
larger
schools
of
reds
consistently
being
on
the
Cocoa
Beach
Flats.
We
have
a
few
nice
schools
of
up
to
50
fish
but
I
have
yet
to
see
a
school
over
100.
I
can
say
that
most
of
our
fish
have
been
around
25
to
30
pounds.
Now
the
other
side
of
the
coin
is
we
are
starting
to
catch
a
few
nice
Snook
and
there
is
still
a
chance
of
catching
tarpon.
To
sum
it
up.
It's
on
it's
way
so
keep
the
faith.
Any
day
our
typical
spring
fishing
will
be
here
soon
and
we
will
start
seeing
schools
up
to
500
reds.
